On June 22, within the World Bank and the European Union joint Project – Financial Inclusion and Accountability, the World Bank organized an event to sign a memorandum of cooperation between GFPAA and the universities, and to hand over the learning materials.
Representatives of GFPAA and seven universities (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, Georgian Technical University, Sokhumi State University, Caucasus University, International Black Sea University, and the University of Georgia) signed a memorandum of cooperation.
At the meeting, within the plan announced by the World Bank in 2021, which is to support universities in various directions, the universities were handed over the relevant textbooks of certification programs recognized by SARAS. We would like to remind you that, in the previous year, the World Bank held an event with representatives of universities, and introduced them to the future plans related to the educational field which is to support them towards the improvement of both educational and examination process.
A representative of SARAS attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He talked about the Professional Certification Standard, its importance, and the opportunities that will be given to the students during the professional certification process once the universities meet the subject recognition criteria defined in the standard set by SARAS.
