SARAS Received Support in the Context of Review of the Compliance of Financial Statements with IFRS Standards as Part of the Project Funded by the European Union

SARAS held a closing event in connection with the specific activity under the project Facility for the Implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement II - The development of a review process of the financial statements in terms of compliance with IFRS Standards in alignment with international best practices.

SARAS was provided with support in terms of detailed review process of financial statements in terms of compliance with IFRS standards. International best practices on detailed review of financial statements were shared. A guidance document reflecting the conclusions and recommendations of the working group was prepared for analysis in advance. 

The closing event of the project was chaired jointly with SARAS by the expert Lucia Kašiarová – Member of the Board of Auditors of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). Representatives of SARAS, LEPL – Revenue Service and LEPL – National Bank of Georgia participated in the event. 

The objective of the project - Facility for the Implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement II - is to strengthen and further improve the capacity of Georgian public institutions by introducing European best practices.
