On December 1, SARAS and IFRS Foundation held the sixth meeting on: “IFRS Standards and management report – Main Updates.”
The meeting was held with the support of the World Bank and the European Union joint Project – Financial Inclusion and Accountability for entities that use IFRS standards and IFRS for SMEs when preparing reports. The auditors serving those entities also attended the event.
At the meeting, the audience learned about the main updates related to the field from the representatives of IASB and the IFRS Foundation. The meeting was led by Bertrand Perrin (IASB member) and Jonathan Labrey (Chief Connectivity and Integrated Reporting Officer at the IFRS Foundation). They discussed both IFRS standards and IFRS for SMEs, as well as draft amendments to management and integrated reporting.

This event has been held by SARAS and IFRS Foundation with the support of the World Bank for six consecutive years, to give timely and more in-depth information to entities regarding the draft amendments, which will positively impact the quality of reporting. SARAS will make an effort to hold this event traditionally in the coming years as well, and the attendees will not only get to know the main updates of the field, but also have the opportunity to ask questions personally and receive competent answers from the representatives of IASB and IFRS Foundation.
