Acting Head of SARAS participated in the international conference organized by Ukraine

On November 12, Audit Public Oversight Body of Ukraine held an online international conference on “Implementation of audit public oversight in Ukraine: experience and prospects”. The conference held with the support of Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, EU project “Implementation of EU Practices for Accounting, Financial Reporting and Audit in Ukraine” (EU-FAAR) and the World Bank. It was dedicated to the 3rd anniversary of the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Audit of Financial Statements and Auditing".

The aim of the conference was to evaluate the results of the functioning of the audit public oversight system in Ukraine and to familiarize the audience with the plans for further development. In addition, speakers discussed ways to harmonize improvement of auditing with the transformation trends in the international regulatory environment. 

Oversight bodies of various countries, including Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, participated in the event. Acting head of SARAS shared the experience of Georgia on the central reporting system - Reportal.ge - to the audience. In particular, he focused on its importance and benefits. In addition, he presented to the audience the statistics collected by SARAS on the use of financial information by the private or public sector.
