On July 23, 2019 the partnership agreement was signed between the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia, which envisages cooperation within the framework of the EU project "Civil Society Sustainability Initiative".
The objectives of the project is to promote development and growth of civil society in Georgia, strengthen civil society organizations, improve their obligations towards target groups and simplify communication with employees.
One of the objectives of the project is to increase corporate social responsibility in Georgia, and Georgia’s Responsible Business Awards “Meliora” of the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia responds to this objective.
In the Contest 2019 the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision will have a partner status and participate as a supervisory body of corporate (management) reporting. Through this contest is planned to promote corporate social responsibility in Georgia and popularization of this concept in society, encouraging companies in their activities to implement the principles and approaches of such responsibility, to identify companies that will be the best examples for others to reflect corporate social responsibility in their reports.
