In Tbilisi on December 13 2018 in the framework of the UK Good Governance Fund Project, the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia with the support of its donor organizations organized the final meeting on the topic: “Facilitating IV Category Enterprises’ Financing through Improved Financial Statements". Workshops for the representatives of the IV category enterprises were held in both Tbilisi and regions aimed at introduction and implementing new, simplified standards of financial statements for the IV category enterprises that would bring maximum benefits to the IV category enterprises in terms of minimizing development and administrative processes.
Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia Nikoloz Gagua and Deputy Head of the Embassy Mission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Alexandra Cole addressed the invited guests with a welcoming speeches. At the event, the representatives of the Service presented a new, simplified standard of financial reporting and a self-learning material. There was also a panel discussion on the topic "Expected Benefits of Simplified Standards for Further Development of Enterprises".
Representatives of executive and legislative authorities of Georgia, international financial institutions and local commercial banks, professional organizations, business associations, trade chambers and beneficiaries, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps, donor and international organizations attended the presentation.
