Representatives of SARAS attended events held in Vienna

On November 26-29, 2018, the World Bank’s Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) held the conference and seminars in Vienna.  Representatives of countries of eastern Europe and Asia participating in CFRR’s support projects, Georgia’s public sector, regulatory bodies, academic sector and professional circles attended the events. Representatives of donor organizations, Government of Austria, international accounting, public reporting and auditing standards Board members, international experts and CFRR experts held the presentations.  

Events were devoted to discussion of the following issues: importance of reliable financial statements for further economic EU integration; how the implementation of high-quality International Education Standards affects the growth of trust in society towards profession; sharing experience and best practices of EU countries; exchanging the information about reform implementation process; planning main directions of future collaboration.

During the events held in Vienna, accomplishments of Georgia regarding the implementation of auditing and reporting reform and adoption of European regulations were pointed out.
