Head of SARAS attended a working meeting organized by EWG

On October 22-13, 2018, the Head of SARAS attended the working meeting organized by EWG in Finland along with other member countries (USA, Germany, Japan, France, Finland, South Africa, Switzerland). EWG was established to straighten coordination of enforcement function in the investment environment, to protect investors and enhance the quality of audit service.  The meeting aimed to present and discuss enforcement survey report. In addition, the audience discussed the future action plan.

International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) was established on September 15, 2006, and focuses on the following activities:

• Sharing knowledge of the audit market environment and practical experience of independent audit regulatory activity with a focus on inspections of auditors and audit firms,
• Promoting collaboration and consistency in regulatory activity, and
• Providing a platform for dialogue with other international organizations that have an interest in audit quality.

SARAS is a full member of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) from August 2017.
