On week of October 8, the representatives of State Service and Financial Market Regulator of Kyrgyzstan and Ministry of finance of Belarus visited Georgia. The main goal of the meetings organized by the World Bank was to inform guest countries about nature, results and benefits of the audit reform currently observable in Georgia. During the visit, working meetings with the Deputy Minister of Finance and representatives of SARAS were held.
Representatives of SARAS shared their experience regarding the reform implemented within the frames of the law of Georgia “on Accounting, Reporting and Auditing”. They covered the following topics: the main functions of the State supervisory body, the process of Standard adoption, reporting, quality monitoring, regulation of professional education, legislative frames and the involvement of professional organizations. Parties also discussed the perspectives of collaboration between supervisory bodies of countries.
