SARAS online dictionary is updated

In an effort to harmonize accounting, reporting and auditing terminology, SARAS has made significant updates to its online dictionary. In addition to existing terms of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), the dictionary now includes terminology from the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The definitions and contexts of more than 2,000 IFRS-related terms have also been updated. As a result, the information presented in the dictionary will be much more useful to users.

Apart from the content updates, the technical functionality has been significantly improved - the updated search mechanism allows users to find the terms they are looking for more easily and efficiently. Detailed information about the dictionary can be found on the website.

We would also like to remind users that the dictionary allows them to evaluate Georgian terms and suggest new versions. This contributes to the ongoing improvement of the dictionary. Based on user feedback, each term is assigned a rating, and any alternative translations submitted by users are reviewed by a dedicated committee of practitioners and academics established by SARAS.
