SARAS participated in the closing event of the project on Financial Inclusion and Enterprise Financial Transparency in Georgia supported by the EU and the World Bank.
Over the course of the project, it supported the alignment of the local regulations with the EU requirements, improved financial infrastructure and responsible financial inclusion, as well as promoted better governance and reporting of corporate and state-owned enterprises.
Georgia’s progress in the financial reporting reforms was acknowledged in the 2022 Report on the Observance of Standards and Codes in Accounting and Auditing, which was presented at the closing event of the project. The Report also provides new recommendations on further enhancement of the institutional framework for corporate and state-owned enterprises financial reporting in Georgia.
The project was implemented in close cooperation with the National Bank of Georgia, Ministry of Georgia, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia, Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision, and other private and public stakeholders.
