SARAS will continue cooperation with HAASOB even after the EU Twinning Project

On February 10, 2021, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between SARAS and HAASOB. 

In order to strengthen the confidence of investors and other stakeholders towards the oversight performance in Georgia and Greece, this agreement aims to continue cooperation between the SARAS and HAASOB even after the EU Twinning Project. The document develops a new format of cooperation between the oversight bodies of two countries to effectively perform functions both in terms of reporting and auditing.

The provisions of the Agreement cover all areas of cooperation, taking into account the parties' corresponding responsibilities which are assigned under the national/local and EU law. Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will share their experience, knowledge and best practice regarding the following issues: Sharing expert knowledge, providing the necessary technical assistance to perform a duty, trainings for employees and auditors, cooperation and communication with stakeholders, including at the board level.

We would like to remind you, that the parties cooperated for two years within the framework of the EU Twinning Project. Consequently, significant projects were completed.
