For the attention of the members of the Georgian Association of Independent Accountants and Auditors (GAIAA)

On the basis of reference of the Georgian Association of Independent Accountants and Auditors (GAIAA), SARAS annulled the recognition of the organization’s certificate program. 

Information on professional organizations, whose certificate programs are recognized by SARAS is provided in an appropriate registry. 

According to the paragraph 2, article 10 of the Law of Georgia on Accounting, Reporting and Auditing, professional organizations shall have an internal policy, systems and procedures that ensure meeting requirements for professional certification and continuing education, as well as the requirements of the Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants by the members of the organizations. 

A professional organization is an organization of accountants and/or auditors that is registered as a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal person and meets the requirements established by this Law and the normative acts adopted on the basis of this Law/on its basis.
