Twinning project’s new website launched

Starting today, the twinning project “Enhancing Accounting and Audit Quality in Georgia” will have a new website. Available at www.sarastwinning.ge, the website will provide users with all the relevant, useful information relating to the project.
The twinning project is funded by the European Union and is aimed at contributing to the capacity building of the Ministry of Finance’s Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision and fostering approximation of Georgian legislation on accounting, reporting and audit to the EU acquis. 

Together with advancing legal approximation, the main objective of the project is to help the Service improve its monitoring of audit quality control systems, ensure the application of accounting standards, enforce corporate reporting requirements, as well as implement proper procedures for the recognition and monitoring of professional certification programs and examination processes, and increase its human resource management capacity.
