The representative of the SARAS attended the Annual Plenary Session of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) in Greece

From April 29 to May 2, 2019, in Greece was held the Annual Plenary Session of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR), which was attended by the representative of the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

Within the scope of the event, there was held the general assembly meeting. At the meeting was discussed the issues concerning the elections of a chairman and new members of the Board and the amendments to the regulation.

The forum highlighted the audit quality indicators, cyber security, communications with audit committees, joint inspections, independence of the regulators, the results of the survey of the quality control system assessment, involvement of independent regulators in audit standard-setting and other issues. The meeting was also dedicated to discussions about the IFIAR activities and future plans.
