The Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and industry and the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia organized meetings with representatives of small and medium-sized entities in Batumi and Kutaisi on December 21 -22.
The noted events are part of IFRS for SMEs awareness rising program and aim to inform the public about reporting reform and IFRS for SMEs.
During the events, the Director of Services and Regional Development of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of SARAS and the trainer of the Academy of the MoF held the presentations. Through the presentations, representatives of the SARAS discussed the main functions of the Service, the ongoing accounting reform and reporting requirements. The trainer of the MoF introduced to the audience the nature of IFRS for SME and discussed the benefits of the standard application.
The final part of events was dedicated to the question-answer mode and covered significant issues.
