IFRS Academic Workshop was held

The SARAS and the World Bank held the IFRS Academic Workshop in partnership with the IFRS foundation on November 16, 2017. The subject of the workshop was the teaching of  IFRS Standards.

The Director of Education of the IFRS Foundation Matt Tilling opened the workshop and discussed important issues related to the teaching of IFRS, including IFRS for SMEs. According to his statement, improvement of IFRS Academic teaching, providing training for interested parties and accordingly, promoting the IFRS mindset development, will result in producing high-quality professionals and enhancement of the field. The working plan on new IFRS standards, conceptual framework project and other initiatives of IFRS foundation makes the accounting-reporting field more extensive and comprehensive.

The Head of SARAS held the presentation regarding the main goals of Professional Education Reform, as well as the IFRS for SMEs training plan.

Representatives of professional organizations, educational and training institutions and other people interested in learning of IFRS for SMEs attended the event.
