The presentation regarding IFRS for SMEs was held on the initiative of the Service for the members of the Federation of Auditors, Accountants and Financial Managers of Georgia and invited guests on October 4, 2017

The Head of the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision Subdivision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia attended the Conference titled `The Audit Reform in Ukraine, Progress, Challenges and Development Perspectives'

Representatives of the SARAS attended the World Standard-setters Conference organized by the International Accounting Standards Board. It was the first time that representatives from Georgia participated in the meeting concerning introduction to the latest updates on International Financial Reporting Standards

Under the order of the head of the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision Subdivision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the professional certification standard and the rule for recognition of the certification programs and examination process was adopted

The Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision Subdivision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation Corporation (IFRS Foundation Corporation) signed the agreement regarding adoption and publication of IFRS requirements

The rule for reporting of financial /non-financial statements and audit opinion was adopted and the relevant web-page tab was launched on September 21, 2017
